The Lack Long After

October was a busy month. A time to settle back into uni, crack on with my work, and get really really drunk. It was also the month that Hairy Mouth celebrated its first birthday. So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to me. I never thought I would have carried it on for this long but I have, and all my “hard” work has paid off. Two days before the anniversary, Hairy Mouth received  its 10,000th view. Pretty cool yeah?

Uni is going well and I seem to be getting into the swing of things again. I’ve had some great feedback so far this year, so I’m pleased about that. The people are still awesome n’all. Such a shame they all have to put up with with me. Speaking of friends, my fellow band member and all round idiot Jonny came to visit. I’d love to spend some time telling you about all the things we got up to, but I can’t remember. All I can say is that his presence involved lots of beer, a football match, a gig, sofas being flipped, a piece of perspex, talk on the tube and someone throwing  up. Good times

Music wise I’ve just been listening to Youth Lagoon. The Year of Hibernation is so good. I suggest you listen to it right now. Other than that I’ve been looking forward to the new Pianos Become The Teeth record. It’s going to be intense. I also revisited Man Overboard’s new album and fell in love with it this time around. My Justin Pearson book arrived the other week and I’ve been hidden within its pages. That guy always entertains.

Anyway, thats about it for me. I’ve got a couple of things coming up in November, but nothing too special. Lack of money is getting in the way of me doing anything fun. I did however get some reviews published online for The Fly so that’s pretty coo.

Anyway I have nothing more to say other than, listen to this song and take off your pants. Lets dance.

  1. Hey man, just thought it was common courtesy to let you know I’ve linked to your blog. Keep up the good work but let’s hear some more of those brutally honest rants and reviews!
